Ribes rubrum Jonkheer van Tets - Currant
Red Currant is a deciduous shrub reaching a height of about 1.5-2 meters (4-6 feet). Leaves are spirally arranged on the stems, single and lobed and deep blue green in colour. Flowers appear in early spring, in drooping, pendulous racemes. They have a distinct, yellow-green colour. The plant produces translucent red berries containing 3 to12 minute seeds.
