Pinus mugo Mops is a spherical-growing dwarf pine. It remains compact, with sharp but aromatic needles. The needles are accompanied by yellow flowers in June and July, as well as by egg-shaped cones that turn from green to brown as they ripen. The bark is gray coloured.
Dwarf pine conifers require little maintenance. They are fully hardy, require a medium amount of water and can be placed in sunny or semi-shady locations. Furthermore, they are resistant against pollution, seawind and diseases, as well as being tolerant to drought. They are suitable as solitary plants or as a potted plant.
