Ferocactus glaucescens - ECHINOCACTUS
KamerplantThis cactus is a unique looking specimen and stands apart from other cacti. It can reach over 2 feet tall, but requires proper drainage for survival and is hardy to about 28°F. The Ferocactus is basically a suckering barrel cactus and multiple heads are produces as the plant matures. The blooms of the ferocactus are lemon yellow and are present from late spring to summer. It needs rich, well drained soil and requires full sun. It needs plenty of water, but avoid wetting the tissue area during sunny days. A wet cactus can cause sunburning, which can lead to fungal infection.
