Eremophila nivea - Silky Eremophila
Eremophila nivea staat ook bekend als 'Zijdeachtige Eremophila' en dit komt door de prachtige zachte bladeren in de kleuren paars en violet. De Zijdeachtige Eremophila is een groenblijvende struik met harige takken en bladeren die in de wilde natuur van West Australië wordt bedreigd en zeldzaam is worden. Door de kwekers is deze plant zeer geliefd aangezien de recht opgaande struik zo 1.5 m hoog wordt, dichte begroeiing heeft en prachtige bloemen die het goed doen in een zeer droog klimaat met veel zon. Hoewel de Zijdeachtige Eremophila tegen een beetje vorst kan, is die niet winterhard en moet dan ook beschermd worden tegen -5 of kouder.
