Dioon edule - Chestnut dioon

Dioon edule is a rare cycad palm from Mexico. A small palm with a trunk that only reaches up to 2 metres (6 feet) high, often not being present at all. It is a slow-growing palm tree.

Dioon edule differs from other Dioon species in so much as it has a lack of spines on the edges of the leaves.

Dioon edule currently have some brown leaves due to sunburn. However, a new flush of leaves will be comepletely green!
