Citrus x junos Yuzu - Yuzu
Citrus junos x Yuzu is a Japanese citrus that produces fruit with a refreshing taste similar to lemon. It's characteristics are similar to a cross between a grapefruit and a mandarin, although its size is smaller than that of a lemon. That said, it is one of the hardier types of citrus. Yuzu's are best planted in sheltered, open ground where it is protected against cold winds. A potted yuzu will require winter protection earlier. The blossoms of this citrus species smell amazing during Summer and is a great addition to any garden or terrace.
