Citrus latifolia - Persian lime
The best known lime. It can nowadays be found in every supermarket. This aromatic trees or shrub is a variety of almost thornless lime tree.
This lime is often preferred over the Key lime (Citrus aurantifolia) due to the less acidic and bitter taste. In addition, the Persian lime is also larger, more aromatic and seedless.
This lime does not like frost, so make sure to put it inside before the frost hits. It will be safe to put it back outside as soon as the last frost of the year has passed.
