Citrus hystrix - Kaffir lime
This ideal container plant, Citrus hystrix, can stand on the patio from mid-May to early October. It smells wonderful, and even the leaf gives off a fresh, sweet fragrance during the summer months. The fruits taste deliciously fresh and are comparable in flavour to lemon. The leaf of the Citrus hystrix is also widely used in dishes in, for example, Thai and other Asian cuisines.
