Albizia julibrissin Rosea - Persian silk tree
The Albizia is named after the Italian Filippo degli Albizzi, who introduced the Albizia to Europe in the 18th century.
Rouge de Tuiliere is an Albizia julibrissin, an abundantly flowering variety. This Albizia from the Dordogne stays fairly small and has very beautiful bright red flowers. A wonderful albizia!

Albizia julibrissin Rosea generally starts off wider than tall, with speading branches and beautiful feathery leaves. The bunches of cottony flowers with pink stamens appear in late summer and fall. One of the best known hardy albizias.
