This is one of the hardiest agaves and will grow to 1,2 m high (3,5 feet) and 0,9 m (3 feet) wide. The Agave Ferox has deep green leaves and black spines. Usually this plant is easy to keep.
When mature it produces greenish-yellow flowers on tall, erect, then spreading panicles.
