This Miscanthus grows quickly and is justly called giant reed. This ornamental cane is 2.50 to 3m (7-9 feet) tall and has bright green leaves. Together with exotic tropical plants this Miscanthus combines well to give a tropical look to your garden. The Miscanthus giganteus blooms from September to the end of the winter, so even in winter this plant provides your garden with that 'something extra'. After the winter, the stems to afsnoeien prune or burn the stems to the ground. In early April, the new green stems will arise again.
