With the exception of a few *Trachycarpus* species, palms are plants that originate from a warmer climate than ours. We often complain about our cold climate and spend hours improving the soil, watering, creating microclimates, and adding fertilizers in an attempt to make that stubborn palm grow just a little faster. However, what no one has yet applied is plant technology.

Most palms require good drainage, air supply, and enough water to grow well, as well as summer warmth and sunshine. No wonder so many palms are difficult to cultivate in our climate, suffer from various nutritional and health issues, and are also slow growers.

Palm Booster

As winter fades and warmer weather approaches, the palm begins to produce hormones that stimulate growth. Due to the cold climate in the Netherlands, most palms rarely reach their full growth speed. In spring, there is enough sunlight for growth, but the air and soil temperature are not high enough to trigger sufficient hormone production, resulting in very slow growth. By administering various types of hormones to a plant, it is possible to promote not only leaf growth but also root growth. Our *Palm Booster* product is designed to be added to water before being applied to the palm. This product is specifically developed to stimulate and support an active root system rather than just leaf growth. This is essential because, to grow a healthy palm, you must first ensure a large and healthy root system. Once the roots have developed, they, in turn, release another growth hormone that accelerates leaf growth. The result is a very strong, lush palm tree.

*Palm Booster* also works very well in combination with *Neem-coir*, and together they are fantastic for growing healthy palms from seeds. Our *Palm Booster* should also be used when planting palms in the garden or when they are being transplanted. A double dose should be applied to water the plant during planting; after that, the usual recommended dosage should be given weekly. This will stimulate the growth of new roots and minimize plant shock and delay. It will significantly reduce the time needed for a large palm to establish itself properly after transplantation.

Our other product, the *Seed Germinator Solution*, has also been very successfully used in the nursery trade on other plants to stimulate rapid leaf growth. We are not yet certain whether it has side effects on mature palms, but we have already used it in nurseries on palm seedlings with fantastic results. When used on mature palms, it will undoubtedly cause a significant increase in growth rate and lushness, surpassing the effects of our *Palm Booster* product. We are very optimistic about this product, but more testing is necessary before we can recommend it.

For now, we recommend the use of *Palm Booster*, which has a proven track record and is safe and effective for all plants, not just palms.
