Slightly less hardy than the white Passiflora caerulea Constance Elliot. But the purple flowers are often very profuse and combine well in a green garden. The plant can freeze above ground, but mine has survived many cold winters simply by having been protected with a generous layer of mulch around the stems at ground level!
