This slow growing, evergreen conifer has a broad, low, irregular growth habit which gives it an interesting shape. It has dark-green, twisted needles with a silvery-white underside in all seasons. In spring, large, purple, showy cones adorn the branches and provide a wonderful contrast against the green foliage.
