Archontophoenix cunninghamiana
This plant tolerates the cold better than Archontophoenix alexandrae but
otherwise resemles it closely. These palms can be situated in full sun but must
be watered adequately.
They can also flourish in the shade - in fact they like water more than most palms, with some even thriving in
swampy conditions. They originate from the rainforest of Australia and
there they can often be seen growing next to and even in creek beds. It
makes a good house- or conservatory plant if the light is good.
