Trachycarpus sp. Nova

This palm was grown from seed thought to be from Trachycarpus princeps, but turned out to be something completely different!
Trachycarpus sp. Nova is quite closely related to Trachycarpus fortunei. It grows at incredible speed and as such is the worlds fastest growing Trachycarpus. The adult leaf seems to be soft and finely divided and as a young plant resembles Trachycarpus martianus.

We believe this palm will become a graceful and slim trunked, fast growing Trachycarpus. We hope it will combine the grace of Trachycarpus martinaus and the hardiness of Trachycarpus fortunei.
